What's included when you foster?
Medical Care
All vaccines that are age appropriate will already be in place upon taking them into care. Laila's Legacy ensures that all basic vaccines plus lepto (for dogs) is up to date. Any additional boosters, emergent medical care, daily medications, or other supportive care that is approved by Laila's Legacy is paid for. Nothing out of your pocket!
Behavioral Care
All training appointments, training supplies like muzzles or long-lines, daily behavior modification medications, or other supportive behavior care that is approved by Laila's Legacy is paid for. Your time and commitment to their behavior and training is a gift enough!
Pet supplies
We can provide anything you need. Dog crates, cat carrier, scratching poles, beds, toys, or food and litter are all available at our foster-accessible storage unit for pickup 7 days a week! If you can't make it there, we can create an amazon wishlist for supporters to donate supplies shipped directly to you.
FOSTER PROCESS
We are a completely foster based organization which means we do not have a 'holding facility' or shelter to host our animals while they're in our care. So our capacity and ability to save lives is purely based on the compassion and kindness of those willing to open their home to dog in need!
